ArborCraft (the “Company”), based in Johnson City, TN, was a premier hardwood flooring manufacturer formerly known as The Harris Wood Company. Upon acquisition, this deep turnaround required a complete overhaul of the business including a re-launch of the 100 year-old Harris Brand, new partnerships with distributors in five key markets, introduction of a new technology “click” installation system and new manufacturing processes which reduced the warranty claims rate by 70%. The Company turned cash flow neutral in the first 9 months and neared break-even in the second year despite the worst housing market in 50 years.
